Just being

Some of my fondest memories are of times that sound inconsequential to people who weren't there. They just happened organically.

When close friends and family ask what I want to do with them, my first reaction is that I don't really care as long as we're doing it together and we have a chance to talk. While I enjoy going on adventures, it's also nice to just sit around the kitchen table and share a pot of tea late at night or go for a long walk. The closer I feel to someone the less I feel a need to plan a packed itinerary.

Give yourself permission to just be together and see what happens. Remember that it's often the little things that give you the most satisfaction. Don't worry about not having enticing social media updates from exotic locations.
