I'm excited to be participating in my first ever fantasy football league – I'm not sure whether to feel embarrassed or proud that. We'll have to see how I do, since I have not followed football that carefully in the past. I'm typically only aware of how the San Francisco 49ers are doing, and occasionally the latest mishaps with the Oakland Raiders.
To be honest, I'm a bigger baseball fan, but with 162 regular season games, fantasy baseball is way too big of a time commitment.
My friends have a much better handle on which players have misleading or anomalous stats from previous seasons, but I enjoy competition and looking through numbers, so this should be fun even though I have no expectation of winning. Hopefully, I have a respectable enough showing, that I'll be invited to play again next year.
