Expectations about problem sets

Last week, a professor warned us that we would not be able to finish a problem set he assigned if we started it the night before it was due. I took this warning seriously because in computer science classes these warnings were often under-estimates. If one of my college professors had made an announcement like this, I would have started the project a week ahead of time and expected to have very little free time until it was due.

I should have remembered that I need to recalibrate to business school. While the problem set took more than one sitting, it was not that long. But, it's all a matter of perspective. Relative to assignments I've had recently, this assignment was definitely longer, but relative to being asked to create a functioning bash clone in a week, it was relaxing.
