Hogwarts house sorting is all relative
People often joke about which house they think they'd be sorted into at Hogwarts. For the houses to be the same size, the attributes that determine which house someone belongs in need to be relative to everyone else in that year. In other words, what makes someone bookish in one group may be par for the course in another. Or what makes someone appear ambitious in one group may not be notable in another.
With that context, I'm curious how evenly distributed house sorting is on Pottermore. I imagine to make the houses even, they need to adjust their algorithm from time to time, meaning that the same answers provided at different times would result in being sorted differently. However, if the sorting is evenly distributed without any adjustments, perhaps the houses serve as an insightful taxonomy that celebrate our different strengths.
