Baby wipes
Why do parents use baby wipes instead of toilet paper when changing babies' diapers? Likely, it's to keep things clean and follows a similar rationale for why we use soap when we shower. Then, why do most western adults transition to only using dry toilet paper after their daily constitutional?
When I wipe down the kitchen, I use cleaning product despite the fact that any residual food on the counter was recently clean enough for me to eat and at least perceptually cleaner than the restroom. Given this discrepancy, it may make sense for me to start carrying baby wipes in my backpack like I do when I travel.
I don't understand why we've just written off part of our body as being dirty and without hope. If we left anything else this way, people would understandably give a shit.
